Michelle McPherson

Research Coordinator

Michelle has over 5 years of experience facilitating research projects in various fields. Most recent projects were focused on the experiences of African Nova Scotian students with the education system. She also has over five years of experience working in the non-profit sector. In addition to this role, Michelle also works as a casual caregiver delivering psycho-emotional support to a group of young women living with down syndrome. 

She completed both an undergraduate degree in Biology as well as a Master’s degree in Earth Science at St. Francis Xavier University. Her Masters work focused on the impacts of climate change on Lyme disease in Canada. 

Michelle enjoys sewing, weaving, dancing and getting outside for fresh air whenever possible.
