Two (soon-to-be) graduates from Dalhousie University’s Master of Public Administration program, Alec Brooks and Payton Nicol recently published a joint article with Dominika Wranik outlining three key factors shaping Gen Z’s interest in government careers.

We are delighted to announce that our research project proposal, “Employment Sector and Career Preferences Among Generation Z Youth in Canada, Germany, and Poland,” has been selected for funding by the Global Research Seed Fund Review Committee.

In their article, Strengthening Morale and Motivation in the Public Service in Turbulent Times, Levasseur, Rounce, and Wranik (2024) address the critical issue of declining motivation and morale in Canada’s public service.

In The Conversation, Dominika Wranik, Nachum Gabler, and Vurain Tabvuma argue that reducing bureaucracy could benefit taxpayers and public sector workers by improving efficiency and trust. However, they caution against extreme cuts that could undermine government services.
